Silent Stone, Warm Hearts — Shitu Stone Industry Successfully Concludes Moscow Stone Fair

On the last day of the exhibition, footsteps in the hall had already thinned out. We stood at our booth, watching box after box of sample books being closed, the candlesticks on the display carefully packed, and the screen of the photo engraving machine still glowing faintly from the final demonstration. Suddenly, we realized that what we brought this time was not just stone, but something hard to measure by weight.

For example, a Russian customer pointed at a headstone and said, "I want to make one for my father; he wanted to see snow outside Moscow."

For example, a blogger squatted in front of our booth filming for twenty minutes, finally saying, "We need to take more shots of these details."

Stone does not speak. But standing there, it invites people to pause and share stories about memory, farewell, and home.

From Hui'an to Moscow: A Journey of Trust

The daylight in Moscow in June is long; it was bright at six in the morning. We arrived two days early to set up, arranging headstones, sculptures, vases, and candlesticks one by one. Each piece traveled thousands of kilometers from Hui'an, Fujian, before standing steadily in this exhibition hall.

A passing buyer asked in not-so-fluent Chinese, "You come from China?"

We said, "Yes, Hui'an, Fujian."

He nodded and gave a thumbs-up: "The stone is very good."

These four words meant more than anything else.

The Products We Brought

At this exhibition, we brought several representative product categories from Shitu Stone Industry. They differ in material and use but share one thing in common: carrying irreplaceable emotions.

Headstones: Not for Farewell, but for Remembering

Headstones are our core. Every piece of granite undergoes multiple rounds of polishing, with engraving depth precise to the millimeter. Russian customers have high demands for black-gold color schemes, mirror polishing, and photo etching—areas we have been most familiar with over the past twenty years.

A customer stood for a long time in front of our headstone sample book and finally asked, "Can you engrave my mother’s name like this?"

We said, "Yes. And we will engrave it as she deserves."

Small Sculptures: A Sense of Life in Stone

There was a small rifle sculpture on the booth that attracted many visitors. Some customers picked it up to examine it, their eyes shifting from curiosity to seriousness. Sculptures are peculiar; the smaller they are, the more they test craftsmanship—every curve and polish is unmistakable.

A customer held the sculpture for us to photograph, saying, "I’ll take it back to put on my father’s desk. He was a soldier."

At the moment we pressed the shutter, we felt this piece of stone was no longer just stone.

Stone Vases and Candlesticks: Adding Warmth to Memory

Compared to headstones and sculptures, vases and candlesticks are quieter. Placed before a grave, holding flowers or a candle. Many European customers prefer these delicate products—not too large, but refined enough to withstand time.

The candlesticks we exhibited used warm-toned granite with a matte finish. Customers said, "They look warm, not as cold as winter."

Photo Engraving Machine: A New Expression of Traditional Craft

The liveliest corner at the exhibition was our photo engraving machine demonstration area. Several Russian bloggers came specifically to film, capturing how a photo is gradually restored on stone as an eternal portrait.

After watching the demonstration, a customer said, "This is more emotional than I imagined."

Yes, the machine is fast, but what truly gives it value is the face behind the photo, the name, the proof that person lived.

Customer Group Photos: The Best Memorial

Over three days, we received many customers. Some discussed orders, some design, some just wanted to see what Chinese stone could become. Before leaving, they were willing to take group photos at our booth, which was the greatest recognition for us.

One customer shook hands before leaving and said, "Next month I will go to China, to your factory."

We said, "We’ll be waiting for you."

The group photos at the exhibition are not just formalities; they are the most genuine connection between us and these customers. They prove we are not just suppliers but trusted, memorable partners.

Closing, Not the End

On the day of dismantling, we cleaned every piece of stone and packed them. The Moscow sky was still bright, and traffic outside the hall was continuous. This trip brought back business cards, intention orders, and dozens of stories worth continuing to tell.
